Prerequisites
To ensure a successful and enriching experience, participants must meet the following prerequisites:
1. Completion of Beginner or Intermediate Level Match Racing Course:
– Participants must have successfully completed a recognized Beginner or Intermediate Level Match Racing Course.
– This ensures a foundational understanding of match racing techniques, terminology, and on-water maneuvers.
2. Proficient Sailing Skills:
– Participants should possess proficient sailing skills, including a sound understanding of boat handling, wind awareness, and basic navigation.
– Experience in match racing scenarios is essential, demonstrating the ability to navigate competitive situations on the water.
3. Familiarity with Advanced Match Racing Concepts:
– A basic understanding of advanced match racing concepts, tactics, and strategies is required.
– Participants should be prepared to delve deeper into strategic aspects of match racing during the course.
4. Physical Fitness:
– Advanced match racing may involve more demanding maneuvers and physical exertion. Participants should be in good physical condition to fully engage in on-water activities.
5. Sailing Resume:
– A sailing resume highlighting previous match racing experience, regatta participation, and any relevant achievements will be beneficial.
– The resume assists the coaching team in tailoring the course to the participants’ skill levels and areas of focus.

– Familiarity with sailing equipment, especially the J22 class sailboat, is advantageous.

Day 0: Friday – Pre-course Meeting

– Participants are required to arrive on Friday evening before 20:00.
– Meet and greet with the academy team.

– Classrooms are provided.
– Participants should bring their technical clothing. In case they don’t have any, the academy can provide them with technical clothes.
